The Central Bank of Kenya has released the Bank Supervision Report for 2016. The report reviews performance and developments in the Kenyan banking sector in 2016. The banking sector demonstrated continued resilience both in its domestic and regional operations. The sectors’ asset base grew by 5.8 percent from Kshs 3.5 trillion in 2015 to Kshs 3.7 trillion in 2016.
