Monetary & Finance Statistics
Monetary statistics is a consolidation of analytical accounts of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and Other Depository Corporations (commercial banks) to derive an analytical report called the Depository Corporation Survey (DCS). The DCS contains analysis of monetary aggregates that are most influenced by the monetary authorities and that play an important role in determining output, prices and the balance of payments. Key monetary aggregates include the money supply, net foreign assets and net domestic assets of the financial corporation sub-sector (in this case the CBK and commercial banks in Kenya).
